The game of WhirlyBall is an exciting combination of Basketball, Polo and Hockey played with a Jai-Alai type plastic scoop and a plastic whiffle ball the size of a softball. It is played by two opposing teams of five players each. Each player rides an electrically powered machine, similar to a bumper car, called a WhirlyBug. The object is to throw the ball into a 15-inch net target on goals situated on both ends of a 4,000 sq. ft. court. It's an easy game to play and is competitive for EVERY ONE of all ages and sizes. Check their website at http://www.whirlyball.com/
Games will be 10 minutes each with two minutes between games allowed to change over. If everyone hustles on and off the court, we should get in 5 games per hour per court. This would give everyone 4 games to play (based on 60 players/12 teams) plus a 2 game tournament structure.
