ONE-HOUR MEETINGS ONCE A MONTH
Circle meetings are held in a Circle member's home where stories,
songs, games and crafts are part of your shared experiences. A
"Circle" consist of about 10 parent-child teams.
ACTIVITIES EVERY MONTH
Members also participate in monthly
activities sponsored by the Federation. Activities include: pumpkin hunt,
roller skating, canoe on wheels, kite flying, 4th of July and Santa
parades, bumper bowling, as well as indoor soccer or floor hockey.
THREE CAMPOUTS A YEAR
Sleep on bunk beds inside cabins and eat meals prepared by the
staff at several YMCA run campgrounds. These arrangements allow you to spend
more time with your child. Horseback riding, archery, canoeing, swimming, climbing
tower, hiking, fishing, sledding, ice-skating are just a few of the things you
can do with your child to help them grow in knowledge and self-esteem.
NOW IS THE TIME
Nothing communicates more effectively to your child how important
they are to you than simply spending time with them. Take the time now before
tomorrow becomes yesterday. Be a part of your child's experiences. Create
memories with your child that will last a lifetime for both of you!
