Join a Tribe!
The program is made up of 6 distinct Nations. There are 3 Princess nations for girls, and 2 Guides nations for boys, all serving families with children in grades 1st-5th. We also have a co-ed Three Owls Nation for grades K-12th.
Nations are composed of 5-8 individual "tribes", the core units of our program, each serving a single elementary school or group of schools. We currently have 40 tribes across the Federation which each typically have 10-50 or more members, varying by school. While families usually join a tribe associated with their child's school, you are welcome to join any tribe within the Federation that you’d like, or you can start a new tribe by gathering two or three other families to join along with you.
Beyond the six Guides & Princesses Nations, we also offer a co-ed Woodland Nation program for preschoolers and kindergarteners (ages 3-5) and a co-ed Trailblazers program for older kids in grades 6th-12th.

What do I need to get started?
If you have a friend in the program, you may already know which tribe you wish to join. If you're unsure, we will guide you through the selection process. Most new members join an existing tribe, but if you have a group of friends who would like to join together, we encourage you to start your own tribe. In this case, please contact the Program Outfitter.
You’ll need to know basic safety information, including an emergency contact, your pediatrician's name and contact info, and any allergies, medical conditions, or medications your child needs.
Have your Guide or Princess "Spirit Names" ready. These are nicknames you’ll use within your tribe, often inspired by nature or animals (e.g. Soaring Eagle, Dances With Ponies, Crazy Like Fox). Some members choose names inspired by music and pop culture (e.g. Sunshine Daydream, Dances in Moonlight, Bad Moon Rising). If you need more time to choose the perfect Spirit Name, you can use a place-holder during registration and change it later.
